My World Record for Memorizing π

Despite achieving a few things as a adult, my 14-year-old self continues to get more attention for what I achieved back in 1978 while in junior high school.

In the 1970’s I was intrigued by pi and was really excited when I saw that the Guinness Book of Word Records tracked the record for memorizing the digits of pi. I decided to break the world record, and a few months later, I did (twice, actually).

Many years later, two popular books mention my world record. In 2013, the book “The SIMPSONS and their MATHEMATICAL SECRETS” cited my record at page 144. In 2016, the book “PEAK” cites my record on page 7.

My 14-year-old self is challenging me to achieve even more now.
